Egg Drop Soup
A three-ingredient egg drop soup using packaged chicken-noodle mix as a quick base, with beaten egg swirled into the simmering broth. Hot, soothing, and on the table in minutes.

In medium saucepan bring water to a boil.
Stir in soup mix. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
With a fork, quickly stir in the egg, a little at a time, until it congeals.
Serve with chow mein noodles or crispy Chinese fried noodles.
