Egg Custard Pie

Butter and milk together in medium saucepan.
Heat to scalding.
Slightly and add sugar and vanilla. Stir into the milk and strain into a 9-inch pie pan.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake at 425Β° for 10 minutes.
Turn oven temperature down to continue baking for an additional 10 minutes. Brush unbeaten white before adding custard mixture.
