Microwave the white sugar and white corn syrup on High for 4 minutes.

Using a wooden spoon, stir in peanuts and microwave 3 1/2 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes. Stir. Add baking soda and mix well. Pour into prepared baking sheet and spread to desired thickness. Let cool completely. Lightly bang baking sheet on countertop to break up the candy.
