Cream butter; add sugar and cream well.
Add melted chocolate. Add egg and vanilla to milk.
Sift flour once, measure; add baking powder and sift again.
Add nuts to flour mixture.
Combine two mixtures and pour into a shallow greased baking pan.
Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes.
Cut into squares.
