Easy Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 2 large onions, cut in thin slices and separated into rings, 1 large can mushrooms, sliced with liquid and 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Lightly season steak with salt and pepper.
Cut steak into thin strips.
Large skillet in oil over high heat. Add onions; until tender. Blend soups, sherry and sliced mushrooms with their liquid.
Pour over onions and steak. Reduce cover and simmer 1 hour, until steak is tender; stir occasionally. Serve over rice.
