Easy Orzo Side Dish
Easy Orzo Side Dish is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. bacon, diced, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed chicken broth, 1 c. water and 8 oz. orzo, uncooked, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a large skillet, brown bacon until almost crisp.
Drain off excess fat.
Add onion and cook until tender, but not brown.
Add chicken broth and water; bring to a boil.
Stir in orzo and parsley; return to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 15 minutes or until orzo is tender and most of liquid is absorbed. Serves 4.
