Easy Microwave Caramel Corn
Easy Microwave Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 qt. popped popcorn, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 stick butter or oleo, 1/3 c. white corn syrup and 1 tbsp. molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cut top off brown paper bag (top 3 or 4 inches).
I pop the corn right into the bag.
In a 4 cup measuring cup (plastic is best) with handle, melt the sugars, butter and syrup on Low in microwave.
Stir well, then cook on High 2 1/2 minutes.
Stir in the soda until mixture foams some and lightens in color.
Stir syrup into popcorn in bag and mix well with a long wooden spoon. Microwave on High 1 1/2 minutes.
Stir well and then microwave on High for 1 minute.
Cool on wax paper.
