Easy Golden Layer Cake
Easy Golden Layer Cake is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 26 minutes. Made with (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, (8 oz.) carton frozen whipped topping, small pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix, (16 oz.) frozen pound cake, thawed and c. almond flavored liqueur, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine undrained pineapple, thawed whipped topping and pudding mix.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Cut cake lengthwise in thirds. Drizzle with liqueur.
Spread 1/3 of pudding mixture over bottom layer of cake.
Top with second layer.
Repeat layering with pudding.
Chill 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with toasted, sliced almonds.
Serves 12.
