Easy Fruit Dessert
Easy Fruit Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large or 2 small cans fruit of your choice in sweetened juice (not pie filling; cherry is especially good), 1/2 to 1 c. water, 1/2 to 1 c. sugar, 1 c. flour and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Pour fruit and juice in baking pan (8 x 12-inch) or similar size.
Preheat oven to 325°.
If using peaches or pears, chop into small pieces.
Add 1/2 to 1 c. water and sugar to fruit.
Stir to dissolve sugar.
Put fruit into oven; heat to boiling in the baking pan.
Mix together flour, 1 cup sugar, milk, baking powder and salt.
Batter will be thin.
Pour over boiling fruit.
Do not stir. Bake at 325° until crust is brown and cooked through.
Batter will rise to the top and form a crust on top.
Watch to see that it doesn't boil and adjust oven accordingly.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes.
