Easy Fruit Cobbler
Easy Fruit Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. unsalted butter, 1 c. all purpose flour, 2 c. sugar, divided in half, 1 tbsp. baking powder and pinch of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Melt butter in 13 x 9 inch baking dish (glass works well).
In bowl, combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt; add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Pour batter over butter. (Do not stir.) Bring remaining 1 cup sugar, peach or other fruit slices and lemon juice to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
Pour over batter. (Do not stir.) Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg.
Bake at 375Β° for 40 - 45 minutes or until brown.
