Peel and slice potatoes in bottom of baking dish (about 3 layers).
Place 1 layer of onions on potatoes.
Add 3 or 4 more layers of potatoes.
Add 5 or 6 pieces of sausage on top of potatoes.
Cover dish and put in oven until potatoes are tender.
