Put oleo, cocoa, oil and water in a pan and bring to a boil. Sift plain flour. Add sugar into a large mixing bowl. Pour cocoa mixture soda, vanilla and buttermilk in a separate bowl.
Add to first mixture.
Bake in a long pan in a 400Β° oven for 20 minutes.
After cake has been baking 15 minutes, start the icing.
