Easy Custard Pie
Easy Custard Pie is an easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, slightly beaten, 2/3 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 1/2 c. scalded milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Heat oven to 450Β°.
Cover edge of pastry with 1 1/2-inch wide strip of aluminum foil.
Thoroughly mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
Slowly stir in hot milk.
Pour immediately into unbaked pie shell (to avoid spills, fill at oven).
Sprinkle top with nutmeg.
Bake about 20 minutes or until silver knife inserted from side of filling comes out clean.
Serve warm or cold.
