Easy Country Rolls
Easy Country Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 c. flour, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 1 egg, 1/2 c. shortening and 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift flour, sugar and salt together in a large bowl.
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup of warm water.
Make a cavity in the center of the flour; put in shortening, egg and yeast mixture.
Blend well.
Add the remaining warm water gradually.
Mix well until a soft dough is formed.
Knead dough for about 5 minutes on a lightly floured board.
Let it stand in a warm place until it doubles its size. Shape dough and place in greased pan.
Let it rise again about 45 minutes.
Bake in a 450Β° oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 3 dozen.
