Combine sugar and flour. Dissolve the soda in buttermilk. Combine water, oleo, cocoa and shortening; bring to a boil.
Add flour-sugar mixture; blend well.
Add eggs, buttermilk and cinnamon.
Pour into a 12 x 6 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 375Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Do not remove from pan.
