Preheat oven to 450Β°.

Cut margarine into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add buttermilk to make a soft dough. Stir with a fork until dough leaves sides of bowl.

Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead just until smooth.

Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with floured 3-inch cutter.

Place biscuits on ungreased baking sheet.

Brush tops of biscuits lightly with melted margarine.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Makes 12 to 14 biscuits.

These may be frozen.

Bake for 5 minutes; seal in bag.

Finish baking when used.
