Easy Bayou Bog
Easy Bayou Bog is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (1 to 1 1/2 lb.) smoked sausage link, sliced thin (mild or hot, your choice), 1 c. chopped chicken meat (2 small cans work well), 1 pouch cajun rice mix, 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes and 1 large bell pepper, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Saute sausage in regular or electric skillet.
Do not drain grease.
Add chicken (do not drain water) and other ingredients while stirring.
Bring to a boil, then cover and let simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat; stir. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Serves 6 to 8.
