Easter Eggs
Easter Eggs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. white karo, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 1/2 c. water and 2 unbeaten egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cook sugar, water and Karo until it reaches 240° on candy thermometer.
Take out 1 cup of syrup from pan and add 2 beaten egg whites.
Beat until stiff.
Continue cooking pan of syrup until it reaches 265°.
Pour slowly into mixture.
Beat until it forms a peak.
Add 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla.
You can add cherries, nuts and coconut to mixture or leave plain.
Butter hands and work mixture like dough; shape into eggs.
Cool in refrigerator.
Melt 1 large Hershey plain candy bar and coat eggs in chocolate.
