Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Cream together margarine and sugar; add and beat well the eggs and vanilla.
Combine separate the flour, soda and salt; add dry ingredients alternately with sour milk or orange juice.
Fold in apples and walnuts.
Bake in greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan for 55 minutes or until loaf test done.
Makes 1 loaf.
