Grease and flour pan.
Bake at 375Β° for 35 minutes.
Combine shortening, cocoa, and eggs, mix well together.
Add soda, salt and sugar, beat well.
Add 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of buttermilk, mix well then add the rest of the flour and buttermilk.
Pour in pan and bake.
