Drunken Wieners
Drunken Wieners is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. whiskey, 1 (12 oz.) bottle heinz chili sauce, 1 c. brown sugar, packed, 1 small onion, diced (optional) and green or red sweet pepper, diced small (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
The night before
Combine whiskey, chili sauce, brown sugar, onion and peppers.
Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 1 hour.
Refrigerate overnight.
About 3 hours prior to serving, put sausages in crock-pot and pour sauce over.
Heat until sauce cooks through meat (about 3 hours).
