Sift together the flour and salt.
Beat the egg yolk and whites until thick.
Gradually beat in the brown sugar.
Mix in the nuts, oil, vanilla and flour until well blended.
Drop by teaspoon onto lightly oiled cookie sheet.
Bake in a preheated 350Β° oven for 12 minutes or until delicately browned.
Makes about 36 cookies.
