Double Quick Coffee Cake
Double Quick Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. warm water, 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 2 1/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Measure into bowl the warm water.
Add and stir to dissolve, yeast.
Stir in sugar, salt and half of 2 1/4 cups flour.
Beat until mixture sheets off spoon (2 minutes).
Add and beat until smooth, 1 egg, remaining flour and 1/4 cup soft shortening.
Drop by spoonfuls over topping.
Cover and let rise in warm place 1 hour.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Turn over immediately.
