Divinity is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. white corn syrup, 1/2 c. water, 2 egg whites, beaten until stiff and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
👨🍳 Instructions
sugar, syrup and water; cook until mixture reaches 240° on thermometer.
1/2 of the mixture over the beaten egg whites, stir well.
Cook the remaining 1/2 of the sugar mixture until it reaches 290° on candy thermometer. Pour into egg white mixture.
Beat until thick and creamy.
Add vanilla and pecans.
Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
This mixture hardens rapidly so it has to be finished quickly.
