Combine sugar, corn syrup and 3/4 cup water in saucepan.
Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves.
Increase heat and boil without stirring until syrup is crackly.
Beat egg whites stiff; pour syrup into whites.
Beat constantly.
Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Beat until mixture stands in peaks.
