Divinity is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1/2 c. hot water, 1/4 tsp. salt and 2 stiffly beaten egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine sugar, syrup, water and salt.
Cook to hard ball stage or 248Β°.
(Cook at No. 7 on electric stove.)
Slowly pour syrup over egg whites, beating constantly.
Beat 1 minute on high speed; let cool 1 minute.
Alternate until mixture begins to change from glossy to dull in color.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Beat until candy holds shape.
Drop on waxed paper.
If mixture becomes too thick, add a drop of hot water.
