Made with 3 lb. uncut and washed young okra pods, 6 small hot red peppers, garlic cloves, 1/2 c. salt and large heads dill and stems or 1/2 tsp. dill seed per pt. Pack okra into hot pint jars with a pod of pepper, clove of garlic and head of dill or dill seed in each jar.

Make a brine of water, vinegar and salt; heat to boiling.

Pour over okra.

Close jars.

Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes.

Start to count processing time as soon as hot jars are placed in actively boiling water.

Makes 6 pints.
