Dill Pickles
Dill Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 qt. small whole cucumbers, 1/2 tsp. dill seed, 1 qt. vinegar, 3 qt. water and 1/8 tsp. powdered alum, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Soak cucumbers in cold water overnight.
Pack in sterilized jars cold.
To each quart, add alum, dill seed and pepper.
Mix vinegar, salt and water; heat until boiling.
Pour over each jar. Be sure they seal.
Put in hot water bath for a few minutes.
