Deviled Crab
Deviled Crab is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. chopped onion, 2 tbsp. flour, 3/4 c. milk and 1 egg, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Put 3 tablespoons butter in pan and lightly saute onions. (Before, rinse crab meat in cold water and remove ligaments if any.)
Stir flour in butter mixture; add milk gradually and cook mixture until it thickens.
Add slightly beaten egg yolk and crab meat, then season with Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, sage, pepper and red pepper.
Cook 3 minutes, then stir in parsley and lemon juice.
Fill crab shells with the mixture, then sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.
Bake in an oven at 350Β° for 20 minutes.
