Devil's Food Cake
Devil'S Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. cocoa, 1 1/2 c. milk, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cook together as a custard 1 cup sugar, cocoa, 1/2 cup milk and vanilla.
Dissolve baking soda in a little hot water and add to mixture along with remaining 1 cup sugar, shortening, eggs, 1 cup milk and flour.
Bake in 3 (9-inch) cake pans at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Put on your favorite icing.
