Devil's Food Cake
Devil'S Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate, 2 sticks butter, at room temperature, 2 1/4 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans. Melt chocolate in microwave or over double-boiler.
Cream butter and brown sugar.
Add eggs (one at a time).
Stir in chocolate. Combine dry ingredients.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk to the chocolate mixture in three stages, ending with flour.
Slowly stir in boiling water and vanilla.
Bake 30 minutes; remove pans from oven and let layers sit for 5 minutes.
Then invert pans over wire racks to cool.
