Devil's Food Cake
Devil'S Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. cocoa, 1 1/4 tsp. soda and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, salt and cream of tartar in mixer bowl.
Drop in margarine.
Add about 2/3 of milk and vanilla; beat on low speed for 2 minutes.
Scrape bowl.
Scrape beater at end of each stage.
Add eggs and remaining milk; beat for 2 minutes.
Bake in 2 deep 8-inch pans in moderate oven at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
