Devil's Food Cake
Devil'S Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 3/4 c. cocoa, 1 c. milk, 1 egg and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add well beaten eggs.
Beat thoroughly.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt together.
Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
Add vanilla and cooled mixture.
Mix well and pour into 2 nine-inch floured cake pans. Top with Carnation icing, Seven Minute or your choice.
