Devil's Food Cake
Devil'S Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 2 eggs and 1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; beat well.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture.
Add boiling water; beat until smooth.
Pour into waxed paper-lined 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes; remove cake from pan.
Cool completely. Frost as desired.
