Cream shortening.
Add sugar and beaten egg; cream together, then add milk.
Sift flour, baking powder and cinnamon; add to the mixture.
Beat thoroughly.
Stir in berries carefully, not to mash. Bake in 8 x 8-inch greased pan for 45 minutes to 1 hour in a 350Β° oven.
Also, can be put in muffin tins.
