Let frozen steaks thaw in water.

Rinse and soak in water for about 2 hours.

Rinse and examine steaks, cutting off any white elastic like grissle.

Cover with about 3 tablespoons salt and water.

Soak for about 2 more hours.

Rinse and soak in water 1 hour longer (or overnight).

Place in crock-pot with soup, salt, pepper, oil and water to make pot at least 2/3 full.

Mix well and let cook on high for about 4 hours or on low about 5 1/2 hours. The longer you soak the meat the better and the slower you cook the meat the better.

May also add chopped onions.
