In medium mixing bowl, blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; beat well with spoon.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended.
Stir in chips; spread into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
Cool completely; cut into squares.
