Decorated Cookies
Decorated Cookies is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. vanilla, 2 1/4 c. sifted flour and decorating sugars or sprinkles, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Preheat oven to 325°.
Cream the butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in vanilla.
Divide flour into thirds and add to batter, creaming well each time.
Knead gently until smooth, approximately 5 minutes.
Shape in ball.
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 5 hours or overnight.
Taking 1/4 part of dough, roll out 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
Cut out with cookie cutters.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Now, decorate cookies with colored sugars or sprinkles.
Bake in slow oven (325°) for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes approximately 3 to 4 dozen, depending on size of cookie cutter.
