Debbie's Rocks
Debbie'S Rocks is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 3 c. flour and 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 2 tbsp. hot water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Seed and cut dates.
Break nuts into large pieces.
Add together in large container (dishpan) and mix well with flour. Cream butter; add sugar gradually until well creamed.
Add spices. Beat egg slightly and blend with mixture.
Add soda-water and pour over date and nut mixture.
Mix thoroughly and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° until golden brown.
Makes about 250 rocks.
