Date Roll Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. milk, 1 pkg. dates and 1 c. nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook sugar, salt and milk together to soft-ball stage.
Add package of dates and cook until mixture reaches firm ball.
Add nuts and vanilla.
Beat until thickens.
Roll in a damp cloth (smooth-not terry).
Chill and slice.
