Date Nut Cake
Date Nut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. dates, seeded and cut up, 2 lb. pecan meats, chopped or broken, 2 c. flour, 4 tsp. baking powder and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Sift flour and baking powder over nuts and fruit; mix well, then add sugar.
Add egg yolks, beaten well.
Stir vanilla into the yolks.
Lastly, beat egg whites and mix well.
Grease pans and line bottoms with paper.
Fill to top (does not rise much).
Bake slowly for 2 hours at about 275Β°.
