Date-Nut Bread
Date-Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. pkg. dates, 1 1/2 c. boiling water, 2 tsp. soda, 1 egg and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cut up dates, add boiling water and soda. Set to one side to cool while you beat egg.
Add sugar and melted butter.
Add date mixture and 2 3/4 cups flour alternately.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes or until tests done.
Use 5 1/2 x 3-inch loaf pans to bake.
