Date Loaf
Date Loaf is an easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1 c. evaporated milk, 2 c. chopped pecans and 1 1/2 c. chopped dates, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cook sugar and milk over medium heat (stirring constantly) to soft ball stage (235Β°).
Add dates and pecans.
Let cool.
Turn into a buttered pan.
Knead until creamy and stiff.
Shape into a roll.
Wrap in damp dish towel or waxed paper.
Chill and then slice.
Makes approximately 1 1/2 pounds.
