Darta's Chocolate Cake
Darta'S Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 1/2 c. shortening, 3 tbsp. cocoa, 1 c. water and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Boil first 4 ingredients together until liquid.
Mix next 4 dry ingredients in a mixer bowl.
Add liquid to dry mixture.
Beat in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla (pecans optional).
Cake batter will be thin.
Pour into greased and floured oblong pan.
Bake at 350Β° about 20 minutes.
Frost with Fudge Icing.
Serve hot with ice cream or whipped topping.
