Daphne's Chocolate Pie
Daphne'S Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. milk, 1/3 c. cocoa, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/3 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix together the sugar and flour.
Add the milk and cook in double boiler until thick, about 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and add beaten egg yolks.
Mix cocoa with enough boiling water to make a paste.
Add paste to mixture in double boiler.
Return to heat and cook until thick.
Remove from heat.
Add butter and vanilla. Cool and pour in baked pie shell.
Top with meringue.
Brown in 325Β° oven.
