Heat oven to 350Β°.

Measure first cup of flour into bowl.

Cut in 1/2 cup butter.

Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons water and mix with fork.

Form into ball and divide in half.

Pat with hands into 2 large strips (3 x 12-inches).

Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Mix 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water in small saucepan and bring to rolling boil.

Remove from heat and add extract.

Stir in flour, all at once.

When smooth and thick, add one egg at a time, beating smoothly.

Divide and spread half evenly over each piece of pastry.

Bake 60 minutes.

Frost at once with confectioners sugar icing and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
