Danish Pastries
Danish Pastries is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. flour, 1 lb. margarine, 1/2 c. evaporated milk, 1/2 cake yeast or 1 envelope dry yeast and 1/4 c. lukewarm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cut shortening into flour.
Add milk, beaten eggs and yeast (which has been dissolved in lukewarm water and vanilla).
After ingredients are thoroughly mixed, divide dough into small balls. (If dough is too sticky to work with, add flour to right consistency.)
Layer into bowl with wax paper between layers. Refrigerate overnight.
