Danish Orange Cake
Danish Orange Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 2 eggs, beaten, 1 c. raisins, 1 c. sugar and 1 orange, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream 1 cup of sugar and shortening.
Add beaten eggs; beat until smooth.
Squeeze juice from orange; save.
Grind rind and raisins in food chopper; add both alternately to the rest of the ingredients.
Pour mixture into a lightly greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for 45 minutes.
As cake comes from the oven, pour mixture of 1 cup of sugar and orange juice over it.
Cake is best when allowed to sit overnight.
