Czech Kolaches
Czech Kolaches is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. milk, scalded, 1 pkg. yeast, 2 tsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. flour and 2 c. milk, scalded and cooled to lukewarm, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix 1/2 cup milk, yeast, 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 tablespoons flour.
Let this mixture stand for 10 minutes.
Cream shortening, egg yolks, sugar, salt and milk.
Add this to first mixture.
Add the flour and knead well.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size.
