Custard Pie
Custard Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, slightly beaten, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. sugar, 3 c. milk, scalded (skim) and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
👨🍳 Instructions
Mix together eggs, salt and sugar.
Scald milk; let stand and skim.
Pour into egg mixture; add vanilla and nutmeg.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Sprinkle nutmeg on top, also.
Bake 10 minutes in 450° hot oven; turn down to 325° for 35 to 40 minutes more, or until knife comes out clean.
